The Volunteers – FOSM group is an easy and convenient means of communication among the USFS employees, Sandia Ranger District volunteers, members of the Friends of the Sandia Mountains (incorporated as the New Mexico Friends of the Forest) and invited guests. Types of information to be transmitted to the email group includes newsletters, emergency messages such as Forest Closures, schedules of volunteer activities, announcements, last-minute schedule changes, and other information of interest to the members of the group.
This is a moderated email group. All messages to the group are sent to moderators to approve (or not) before being forwarded to all members. Moderators are FOSM Officers and Board Members. There are about 200 members in this group.
